Pv inverters can be damaged if left in direct sunlight. Whilst they are weather rated, an inverter shade can lengthen the lifespan of the inverter and stop it from de-rating in high temperatures.
Generally speaking, all of Ecoelectric's inverters are installed in locations which will not require a Solar Awning. You may wish to add one as a feature, or you may have an older installation which requires one for functional reasons.
